Dear Parent(s) and Student;
Thank you for your interest in our summer school programs.
There are three types of credits that we are pleased to offer again this year. All of these courses lead to an approved Ontario Ministry of Education credit and include the high standards, innovative approach and personal attention that we have become known for. There are more than 30 credits being offered.
The first group, classroom based credits, are primarily courses where intensive classroom study and support are necessary for student success. Credits in subjects such as Mathematics, Science and English are the most common but based on student demand, others credits will also be available. The two sessions run from July 2-29, and July 31- August 28. Both run from 930 am – 330 pm with teachers available until 5:00 pm to answer your questions or provide you with home-work support.
There are also fifteen courses offered in our unique, proactive approach to the Ontario Curriculum offered over three week sessions. Students will spend more than 50% of their time creating, playing and visiting interesting places in the city in this very hands-on learning environment. These credits are so well received and the day flies by that they have been referred to as camp-credits. Sessions are available July 7 – July 25, July 14-August 1 and August 11 – August 29 and go from 9:00 am – 5:10 pm.
Lastly, students can also earn credits at our 500 acre outdoor centre near Bancroft, Ontario. These two week sessions offer a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a different environment and to benefit and enjoy the natural setting and recreational opportunities. Sessions are offered July 21-August 4 and August 11-25.
As well, all students are welcome to our Sunday study hall from 1 pm – 4 pm for extra help as they require.
