Dear Parents and Students;
Thank you for your interest in this special summer program. You will enjoy learning with Canadian high
school students and the various cultural and recreational activities we have included as part of the course.
We will work on core English in the first session. Students will be able to concentrate on everyday
communication skills or complete assignments in order to earn a high school credit. You will have choices
in the second term to further your formal English or to take various academic and arts-based classes. (I
have included sample schedules so that you will know what to expect and a course list for your review.)
The third term (September) will coincide with our school year and those of you that wish to take courses
at that time should contact me for options.
We have also included one weekend a month at our beautiful 500 acre outdoor centre. Canoe, hike,
explore and play in unspoiled and natural surroundings. Included will be a day trip to Ottawa for
Canada’s birthday and a First Nations (American Indian) Reserve where you can enjoy a traditional Pow
Wow; (celebration).
There will also be many other weekend trips and after school activities for you to choose from. These will
be offered seven days a week to insure that you will have success with your studies and enjoy a real
Canadian experience.
