Neil J. Cohen
Neil has brought his unique perspective and experience to this special learning environment. Academic excellence, self reliance, creativity and personal development are emphasized for the individual but in a welcoming and diverse community.
After attending and working at the University of Toronto, Neil began his professional career as a developer of sports and recreation programs and facilities. Neil enjoyed working with top athletes, weekend warriors and enthusiast of all levels, developing action plans to achieve personal goals. This experience led to creating programs for corporate groups, emphasizing team-work, goal setting and personal health issues.
Prior to his position as the founding Principal of the school, (and currently), Neil organizes programs at The Compass Centre ~ Madawaska, a 450 acre retreat near Bancroft Ontario. Neil is also very active as a volunteer consultant for various non-profit initiatives and organizations.
